Artist's Comments

Sorry I uploaded this so late at night guys D| moving this to scraps in a bit though.
I've been so busy lately, and I'll try to reply to your guys' comments on my past deviations!

As you guys can see, I started CGing in about near the end of 2006.
So basically I've been CGing for almost 3 years now.
When I started drawing, I was interested in anime/manga, but then I started furthering my style to a sort of semi-realism style because I didn't want to be stuck with one profession.

I wish I kept my first CGs, but because I was so embarrassed by them, I deleted them, and I regret doing so.

I'm definitely still trying to find my style, and I'm still trying to improve, but my classes are preventing me from drawing often so I don't get to improve as much lately. I am also taking an art class for the first time ever (AP art). I hope I'll still have time to draw stuff other than class stuff during this year.

I've been using Opencanvas ever since I started CGing and I don't plan on changing programs, either. I really love it.
But don't buy the program just because I use it or said it was good, it really depends on the artist.

Personally, I really don't like photoshop and I only use it to make adjustments or add text. Imho, I think that photoshop is usually a particularly easier way to becoming an amazing artist, but don't kill me for that, because I wouldn't know personally. All I do know is that photoshop has the benefit of tons of features and convenient brushes that openCanvas doesn't have.

Either way, whether your most comfortable program is photoshop or not, just keep practicing with it and I'm certain you'll see an improvement, unless you refuse to accept constructive criticism and/or fail to believe in yourself.

It's the same process, just OpenCanvas requires a lot of effort to get the same effect. Major props yo~
But dude, you've come a loooong way. Can't wait to see where you go from here. : D

and in conclusion, after further consideration, my dick is in fact SMALLER than yours.
:icononiitan:
So much improvement in your years! I still hope for you to improve, not that you're not good and all, but there's always more room for improvement.
:iconsilver-escape:
dude! i'm 19 and draw worse than your 12 year old self! wtf?!

Great progress!

You already draw well with ballpoint at age 13. I remember when I was 13 I was more into the messy stuff like charcoal or oil pastels. I couldn't draw a steady line to save my life! xD

I am slowly seeing your style emerging over the time I have watched you. Keep up the good work!
:iconshunichi:
DAYUM. <3

You improved so much from 06-07 <333

Argh. I wish I kept my first CGs too...
OTL.

I'm holding on to a dream that won't last..
:iconakirakirai:
mnn yeah, openCanvas doesn't have the option of creating awesome brushes and certain special effects and whatnot that photoshop has, but that's ok.
But yeah, I'm really happy with how much my art has improved over the years <333 > w < hehe thank youuuuu
